Los Angeles, CA – On Tuesday, March 5th, 2013, Yellow Cab Co. and its sister fleet, United Checker Cab are offering free rides to voters as part of their “Roll to the Polls” campaign. The Elections will generate a high turnout and Yellow Cab Co. has stepped up to make sure that transportation is not an issue for voters in the City of Los Angeles. Voters interested in a ride to their polling place can call Yellow Cab Co. at (800) 808-7293. Callers must state their polling location and provide the call taker with the code “LA Vote” when booking their cab.

Additionally, on Thursday, February 28th, 2013, representatives from the cab companies will be visiting different senior centers in the City of Los Angeles to educate senior citizens, who may not otherwise have a reliable mode of transportation available to them, about the program so they can get out and vote as well. Among the locations to be visited are Lincoln Heights Senior Center, Ahmanson Senior Center, Slauson Senior Center, and Montecito Heights Senior Center.
